As the feet rise towards the cross-bar the body, also, begins to turn from right to left, and the arms begin to exert their pull upon the pole. By the time the legs are crossing the bar the body has turned until the chest is facing the shaft of the pole and, meanwhile, the pull of the arms has raised the body to a position in which the left fore-arm lies parallel with the pole. From this position the half-turn of the body is completed, the legs pass across the bar to waist-level, and the £nal pull lifts the shoulders up to the leYel of the hands, while the chest is turned towards the ground. .... l.n ....
