From the take-off for the Jump he should endeavour to throw the body as high into the air as possible with the aid of the arms and br means of a good pick-up action of the knee of the leading leg. For the rest, the Jump should be carried out in full agreement with the instructions given elsev.-here in the book for the practice of the ordinary Running Long Jump. The reader should remember that the triple effort is essentially cumulative in character, and that he must so balance and govern the Hop and the Step to leave himsdf sufficient reserve for the performance of the final Jump. 1-) ..... .....
