CHAPTER XXI FOOTBALL INJURIES IF American college football were of a more stable quality, and not subject to radical changes in the ruJes every year, it would be possible for me to devote some portion of this book to the methods of preparation for this game, because at Pennsylvania and Yale I was constantly associated with the football coaching. But I have had so many requests of late years for information as to my methods of treating football injuries that I shall de– vote a portion of this chapter to the latter · subject. I have very little sympathy with those who attack football as a brutal and dangerous ganie.
