CHAPTER I PHYSICAL CONDITION Goon physical condition is something which every person, whether an athlete or not, should seek, and if the directions given in this chapter and throughout the book are followed they will greatly improve the con– dition and increase the vitality of every one who observes them.. By physical condition I mean the building up of a state of bodily strength in which every organ is healthy and subject to the control and direction of the mind and will. This is a condition which results from the gradual development, through exercise, of the entire body. When one first begins systematic training and exercise everything he does seems like so much hard work, but persistence will be re– warded first with a glow of increased strength and vitality, and then with a consciousness 3
