50 England still not satisfied In due course, some details of the agreement, particularly those relating to the method of sharing of surpluses, proved to be impracticable and were changed by mutual agreement but, over the succeeding years, the AAA of England was able to add significantly to its own cash balances and would prove to be unwilling to help the BAF when the need arose; as it did with a vengeance.
