68 The joint standing committee (JSC) After its initial teething troubles, and once the financial and budgetary controls had been introduced, the JSC settled down into what was generally an effective working unit. Andy Norman, Malcolm Jones and I were given the responsibility for handling the day to day relationships with ITV, Pascoe’s company and sponsors and the JSC itself met regularly to manage the general strategy and to take major decisions. The JSC continued until the advent of the BAF on 1 st October 1991 when its role was taken over by the BAF’s management board.
