Coaching and Care of Athletes
INTRODUCTION (3) A body action which involves swinging or twisting the shoulders and trunk. (4) 'Weaving,' by which I mean the habit some athletes develop of passing one foot over in front of the other. (5) An exaggerated tendency to dwell on the rear foot. (6) 'Pounding,' by which I mean beating the feet too heavily upon the track. (7) A too high knee action. (8) A too high heel action. (g) 'Bounding,' which is the type of running in which the athlete expends his energy in springing from the track, instead of in progressing forward.
