Allow I 5 yds. to first hurdle and I 5 yds. run-in frop:l last hurdle to tape. Wednesday . Rest. Thursday. 3 mins. of suppling and agility exercises. Jog 220 yds. 3 mins. of bending and stretching exercises. Swing through 220 yds. at three-quarter effort. Friday. Rest. Saturday. 3 mins. of bending and stretching exercises.~ Jog 220 yds. Starting practice over two hurdles at half effort twice. Starting practice with gun over two hurdles twice. 3 mins. of hurdling exer– cises. Run a time trial over seven hurdles at just under full effort. Mm-SEASON TRAINING Mid-season training should find the athlete already in com– petition, but treating most of such contests mainly as training trials. In this period of training any necessary adjustments in striding and style must be made, and the technique of the athlete should be finally stabilized.
