COACHING AND CARE OF ATHLETES Wednesday. Rest. Long, slow massage. Thursday. Limbering up at ground. Sprint 30 yds. at half effort twice. Practise the run-up at seven-eighths effort twice. Friday. Rest. Light massage. Saturday. Two H., S,, and J. at quarter effort for co-ordination and cadence. Trial: four H., S., and J. at seven-eighths effort. Final Week Monday. Trot roo yds. twice. Sprint 30 yds. at half effort once and at three-quarter effort once. Two H., S., and J. on soft turf at quarter effort, two at half effort, and two at three-quarter effort, all for co-ordination and cadence. Light massage. Tuesday. Go to ground and limber up. Sprint 30 yds. at half effort twice and 30 yds. at three-quarter effort twice. Practise the run-up at seven-eighths effort once and at nine-tenths effort once. Light ma~sage. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Rest. Special massage in prepara– tion for competition. Saturday. Special competition for which training has been under– taken. (N.B.
