The British hold the records from 1—32,51—100, and 260—290 miles, including the 12hours' Record. All the rest, with the exception of those from130—220 miles which are held by a Dutchman, are taken by the French, a truly remark able score. It should, however, be noted thatwith the exception of the first 5 miles and a few miles between the 210th and240th all World's Amateur records from 1—476 miles are uniformly held by Englishmen.
