Hammer with a 1 2lb. head—116ft. 4in.; i61b. head—100ft. 5in.; 2 lib. head—81ft. 3in. With a handle 4 ft. long, with unlimited run, but no follow, W. L. COUDON , using one hand, threw a hammer with an 81b. head 189ft. o l /iin. at Elkton, Md., 11 October 1889; and a i61b. hammer under like conditions, 167ft. 2in. at Prettyman, Md., 9 August 1894.
