E. Oakley andMr. Rudd, each of whom had killed »;!!their birds. In shooting off the ties all killed except Mr. Rudd, who thus secured the fourth prize. In the second round Captain Edwardes and Mr. Oakley missed. Captain He Winton killing hisbird by a splendid shot with the second barrel. He thus became entitled to the first prize. Captain Edwardea i.nd Mr. Oakley then shot a<?ain for the second prize, each killing fon; birds; and, in the fifth round, the Captain killed, but Mr. Oakley's bird, after being hit. got to the palings, but dropped inside ; the boy ran lo pick it up, but it made rno final effort, got over the palings, and dropped dead ou the other side, the scj'jul prize thus fell toCaptain Edwardes.
