Railway Arrangements.-The G. W. Railway Special Train for Com– petitors and friends left Paddington at 1.3 p.m., arriving at Windsor at r.27. RULE FOR MAR THON RACE, PRI TED 11 THE PROGRAMME OF THE DAY. 1. The Marathon Race of 42 kilometres will be run on a course marked out on public roads by the Amateur Athletic Association, and will finish on tbe running track in the tadium, where part of 1 lap will be run. 2. Each competitor must send with his entry a medical certificate of fitness to take part in the race, and must further undergo a medical examina– tion previous to the start by the medical officer or officers appointed by the British Olympic Council. 3. A competitor must at once retire from the race if ordered to do so hy a member of the medical staff appointed by the British Olympic Council to patrol the course. 4. No competitor either at the start or during the progress of the race may take or receive any drug. The breach of this rule will operate as an absolute disy_ualification. 5. The station of each competitor at the £tart will be d terrnined by lot, and in the event of the competitors eing too numerous to b started on a single line, they will be started on two or more lines. 6. Each competitor shall be allowed two attendants, who shall wear on breast and back the same distinctive number as th competitor. 7. The attendants shall during the progress of the race remain behind the competitor they are attending, or be sufficiently in front to prevent
