<'.>bjection shall be accompanied by a clepo it of one pound (£ 1), and if upon investigation the objection shall appear to have been made upon no reasonable ground the deposit shall be forfeited. The British Olympic Council shall decide on every objection after havin~ heard the representa– tive or representatives on the Honorary Committee (sec Article 14) of the person making the objection. "14. An Honorary Committee will be formed, consisting of three repre– sentatives from each competing country, to be nominated by the Olympic Committee in that country. pecial seats will be reserved for them, as for the members of the International Olympic Committee, at all contests and all festivities connected with the Olympiad, ~nd they will be distin guished by a separate b1dge. [N.B.-In the case of competitors not represented on the Honor:iry Committee, the British Olympic Council will appoint three members to act on behalf of such competitors.] "All protests to be made to the Officials ma111ging any form of contest must be made through a member or members of the Honorary ommittec representing the country to which the competitor belongs who de ires to make the s1id protest for transmis ion to the said Officials. "Any such protest must \Je made to the proper Official within half an hour of the termination of the contest to which it relates." THE RUNNING HIGH JUMP. The Judges shall decide the height of the bar at starting, and at each successive elevation. Each competitor shall be a1lowed three jump at each height. At each height each competitor shall take :me trial in order as on programme ; those failing shall have a second trial in similar order, after which those having failed twjce shall make their thi1 cl trial. Cros ing the scratch without displacing the bar shall not count as one jump. All measurements shall be made from the ground to the: centre of the bar. Neither diving nor somersaulting shall be permitted. THE STANDING HIGH JUMP. The feet of the competitor may be placed in any position but sliall leave the ground only once in making an attempt to jump. "hen the feet are lifted from the ground twice, or two springs ale made in makin 6 the attempt, it shall count as a trial jump without result. A competitor may rock forward and backward, lifting heels and toes alternately from the ground, but may not lift either fool clear from the ground or slide it along the ground in any direction. With this exception the rules are similar to the Running High Jump.
